Robert — Founder & Lead Storyteller
Robert is the creator of Griot of London, a lineage‑based storytelling practice rooted in heritage, ritual, and emotional connection. Known for his energetic presence, humour, stillness, and inclusive style, Robert transforms rooms into shared spaces of discovery.
His storytelling has been recognised by heritage professionals and audiences across borders. He currently works at the National Portrait Gallery, where his presence and delivery have drawn attention from visitors, staff, and cultural practitioners.
Robert’s work blends voice, mbira, and immersive soundscape to create experiences that feel ancient and contemporary at the same time. His mission is to revive forgotten histories and build a modern griot tradition in London and beyond.
